“Bluebells II was inspired by the early spring garden at Old School House Art; that first peek of colour indicating spring is around the corner. The colour palette is a sizzling juxtaposition of cool blues and purples and warm oranges and pinks!”
Rachel incorporates texture and collage media into each layer of her paintings; vintage books, newspapers, tissue paper, printed paper, along with acrylic inks, paints and mediums to create depth and texture. She creates her own printed papers and draws with collage and acrylic paint until the colours vibrate.
The painting wraps beautifully around the edges therefore framing is not necessary. It is professionally finished with gloss varnish which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Each painting comes ready-to-hang.
