“Strawberry Flowers was inspired by the fresh spring garden at Old School House Art; the excitement of seeing strawberry flowers popping out and anticipating the juicy red berries to come. The colour palette is a cool, fresh and zingy green, white and yellow with a little added sparkle.”
Rachel incorporates texture and collage media into each layer of her paintings; vintage books, newspapers, tissue paper, printed paper, along with acrylic inks, paints and mediums to create depth and texture. She creates her own printed papers and draws with collage and acrylic paint until the colours vibrate.
The painting wraps beautifully around the edges therefore framing is not necessary. It is professionally finished with gloss varnish which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Each painting comes ready-to-hang.
