“Sunflowers I was a spontaneous wild ride into discordant colours influenced by the colours in a children’s story book my daughter loves called Handa’s Surprise by Eileen Browne. Colour doesn’t get much more hot and sizzling than this. I love it!”
Rachel incorporates texture and collage media into each layer of her paintings; vintage books, newspapers, tissue paper, printed paper, along with acrylic inks, paints and mediums to create depth and texture. She creates her own printed papers and draws with collage and acrylic paint until the colours vibrate.
The painting wraps beautifully around the edges therefore framing is not necessary. It is professionally finished with gloss varnish which can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Each painting comes ready-to-hang.
